Riverview Park is a great for any event

Let me start off by saying that this park is great for those needing extra shade from the summertime sun. The playground is broken into 2 sections to accommodate different ages as well as some fresh recycled tire mulch, which makes for a soft landing. There are multiple trash cans and portable restrooms located throughout the park. Unfortunately, I do have to critique the unkempt parts of the playground, which would include some broken swings, a broken handle for the slider bar, and a missing tire swing. Overall, these are minor factors considering the park is huge, shaded, and provides a safe space for children to play.

Great place for family fun. Baseball fields, Archery range, river for fishing. Rent out the cabin or shelters for a nice family BBQ. And enjoy the pool with slide during the summer months. And be sure to ask the Parks department for info about the Civil Air Patrol unit (Lake County Cadet Squadron) that meets there weekly. Excellent program for teens (12-18). Where they can volunteer their time as well as learn leadership, character development, , discipline, etc. Excellent program. The Park is always doing events as well throughout the year. Awesome place for family fun.
